Sephora FiberWig

So recently while on the train, I have been seeing these ads for Fiberwig mascara exclusively at SEPHORA. Now I am definately no huge mascara fan, but this ad just kept catching my eye. My mom wheres mascara, and has been doing so for so many years. I personally don't think she needs it, but it does create a look that helps the eyes pop a bit. But any which way, Fiberwid is one of the major selling mascara products in Japan. It is only at Sephora, so after reading this blog you want to check it out, visit http://www.sephora.com/ or check it out in on of their stores. This amazed me, so I did some reach and here are some fast facts:

  • Designed to create the perfect lashes

  • Micro-fine interconnecting fibers

  • Fast drying

  • Removes instantly with warm water

  • ***Does not damage natural lashes

  • ***Clump Free

If you are wondering why, I have put 3 * next to the last two. It is because nobody like to damage their lashes, they are the most sensitive areas on the body, the hair falls off so easily naturally. The last is I HATE clumpy lashes!!! It looks so bad on most people. If you don't have this problem then continue to ignore this rant! =) But I would actually recommend this product to people, who have no lashes or really thin and or short lashes. This product is getting an A+ from me! I hope others can enjoy it.

Please do leave a comment or two, letting me know what you think about the product or if you know anyone who has used it and feels different about it.

Fashion Trends and New Designers

Hey my fellow bloggers! Well the few not the many that read this blog (lol) I have decided to get the designers that I know to gush out their views on fashion, material, and just their perspective on designing in general! Also I plan on showing their clothing lines and helping them get exposure. So look forward to blogs coming about that!..... Also thanks to a friend of mine, I am going to have pictures of random people on my blog with different body types to help those people out there find things that suit them!......I have so much to blog about, but so little time it feels like! Stay tuned though, Designer Craving is coming back! =) Promise not to disappoint!

"The Shirt"

The shirt! Now when i am talking about the shirt, i am talking about of course wovens, or button down shirts as most of us would call them. Yes, this summer I have really fallen in love with Mens Wovens, why you may ask? I have no idea what so ever. (lol) But what i do certainly know is that they are the most comfortable shirts ever maddeeeee!!!!!!

My other love is skinny jeans of course, whats more perfect to go with Mens Wovens? SKINNY JEANS yes this is my new favorite look. I am certain that we have all seen this look before. Whether in magazines or just walking down in the city. What really inspired me while browsing a store, was overhearing this stylist and model in the store talking about skinny jeans. That had not really grabbed my attention but when the stylist mentioned the Mens Woven shirt to pair with a pair of skinny jeans, i was instantly hit with an outfit. (lol) I want to say that i borrowed the outfit from the stylist and tweaked it myself! I will upload pictures of the outfit i put together lol with skinny jeans and of course a woven shirt!

But below are some of my new best friends!
The 3 men shirts are from levis and the bottom right one is from forever21 but is a woman woven. Don't you just love them????!!!!

Mblem

Some history about Mblem that I NEVER knew about until recently when i finally remembered to visit the website. Mblem has been featured on E!, VH1, Mtv, Extra, Access Hollywood and many more. Plus this line has been written about in marie claire, lucky, lou lou, and InStyle Magazine. Mandy, says that she has hands on experience with her line, she didnt just stamp her name on the line just because, that's one thing i really like. Though I may not agree with all the pieces (that's just the designer in myself) there are still many to choose from that are really nice. Some are a bit pricey, but just think your not only buying the name you are buying the quality!

So i have been checking up on her and I think her clothing line is something affordable! Like i said there are some pieces that are quite pricey, but hey it happens. The line includes jersey; which is the greatest fabric/material ever made! You can do so much with anything made out of jersey doesn't wrinkle when worn. You can just throw the clothes into a travel bag and not have to worry about it getting wrinkled! Plus lets not forget its super comfy lol !!! The only downfall I would say, is that there arent many places in New York that sell Mblem. The only place as of now that has Mblem is March Boutique 1250 Pleasantville Rd, Briacliff Manor, NY 10520. But the upside is the show room is located on 39th street YAY the city lol......I think her line has the potential to expand......

Also i dont know how many people who know Mercedes from ANTM, but i believe that she is modeling Mblem on the website...not to sure if its her, but if it is YAY for her lol I think she is so beautiful!!! Wish her the best.

Some of my favorite pieces for spring 08 are (pics from Mblem.net):

1(bubble sleeve tunic $190) 2(Shirred Panel Spaghetti Strap Dress $190)

3(Butterfly Twist Dress $190) 4(Cross Collar Coat $265)

Purple Rain....

So i have Recently finally seen the movie purple rain! It was amazing!!! loved it lol....but that's partially the reason why i am making this post. Now everyone that knows me, know that i have the tendency to do my hair in styles from the 80's and stuff like that. Or even dress old school sometimes, not saying i do all the time lol. But so anyhow during the movie i realized that i miss what style used to be back then! today we still have style dont get me wrong, its just how people chose to style themselves and get lost in the translation of becoming the style instead of making it their own!

I got inspired while watching the movie and craving to make their style my own. Change a few ideas and etc. lol but here are some of my favorite looks from the movie! oh and if you have yet to see it i recommend you renting it and checking it out lol great movie! Also i must praise the custome designer Marie Frank she did an awesome job!

Handbags

So many different designers oh so many bags. Now I must say that handbags usually never go out of style! I mean you could have a bag for years and if the condition is still good then keep toting it around!!!!

Some bags by designers that i wish i could afford that are just so nice and preciously made:

Balenciaga oh im not even going to put the price, im sure we all know it is expensive lol....but i still want it. This bag has a sophisticated look.

Levis

So addicted to these jeans! They have organic cotton jeans which i think is great, with everyone trying to change the world. There new spring collection is exciting!!!! My faves are these shorts, they look so comfortable not too revealing and they are white so you can pair them up with almost anything you want!

$48 501 white cutoff shorts

Then with my favorite color lavender we have these lovely skinny jeans. Now i must say these are by far the most precious lavender jeans that i have seen!!! All others just aren't skinny enough or not a vibrant looking color.

What makes me crazy about these also is that they are 99% organic cotton, and 1% LYCRA! What more possibly could anyone ask for!!!

Eco Skinny jeans $58.98, a little pricey but look at the quality! I in love with the new organic cotton clothing that has been coming out and also the use of items being made with LYCRA!!!

Iodice Fall 08

Fashion week!!!!!! Thanks to a lovely dear friend of mine, i got to go to fashion week. Though i did not get to attend all the shows for the throughout the week, I still cherished the two that I did!!!!

The first Show I attended was IODICE. Valdemar Iodice is the designer that created IODICE. He is highly respected in Brazil. The line began in the garment industry then later spread its wings. This was the first Fashion Week in New York that he has been able to showcase his line.

I think his designs were sophisticated and the clothes fit the Models well.

Here are some of my fav's:

Worst day EVER

So I had the worst day ever on February 1, 2008!!!! I thought the day was going to be great you know, work 2 hours in the morning then class at 11 AM. Until I get a phone call saying that I had to be at this PR place as a volunteer for fashion week, (which i am so happy to be apart of thanks to my friend Eileen----LOVER HERRRRR ). Mind you now I never come in on Fridays, but the lady tells me oh, we spoke about this you were told to come in every Friday for now on. I was like, did we talk about that? I don't remember that. She goes yeah you are suppose to come in on Fridays to help out, we have lots of work that needs to be down, can you get down here ASAP. Mind you I had class at 11AM, then I have to catch the train with a friend to buy mask for a party that was happening later that night. She sounded distressed and I was like what am I going to do? If i tell her no that can mess up my future chances of getting a REAL internship there! so I tell her yeah i can make it down there by 1-1:30pm. She goes great and hurriedly hangs up the phone. I quickly dial my friends digits as fast as my fingers could move.

Me: Hey I have a huge dilemma!!!!

Friend: Whats the problem?

Me: So the fashion volunteer lady tells me she needs me to come in

Friend: Okay you should go

Me: But i mean i feel so bad because we have to get the mask!

Friend: What this is possibly an internship position, whats more important buying mask or an internship for your future?

Me: internship

Friend: Exactly just go and we can still meet up to take the metro north, (leaving from New Rochelle) where you can give me the directions to the store where to pick up the masks.

Me: okay thanks so much!!!!!!!! got to go class in 10 min. later!

So now i noticed that it had begun to rain. I was like fine I already showered got dress, pulled my hair down and was like I am forgetting my umbrella. It took forever for me to find an umbrella, because I NEVER DID!!!!! I own 3 umbrellas, a little black one, a medium purple one and my favorite the a big M&M one. But on February 1st I couldn't seem to find any of them!!!!

I doubled u and was like, ill just grab my hoody, my coat also has a hood and i said, "it can;t be raining that hard yet" Oh was i completely wrong!!! I had to walk to class in the freezing pouring rain, i tried to run but there was ice beginning to form because of the temperature and i did not want to risk falling!.....so I finally make it to class, i was soaked but it hadn't seeped through my coat and sweater so I was fine. I got out of class had to go and change my shoes because they were soaked (white low cut converse...don't ask Y i wore those).......I put my boots on and i was frantically trying to find an umbrella, but of course i still didn't!!! So I walk out of campus and start walking fast to the train because its already 12:05 and the train comes at 12:33 and i needed to buy a ticket. So now the rain is fully coming down with winds blowing and all, I crank up my IPOD and keep moving not ever slowing down or stopping for anything!......

I finally get to the station at 12:25PM I had to run to the booth, but three people had gotten on line so i bolted for the machines. With my hands so cold and almost near frost bite i had to push the touch screen and feed the machine my money. After i received my ticket, i went back inside to find my friend, found him and he was like what happened to you, where's your umbrella? are you okay. I just stood there in front of him catching my breath and feeling the hot air melt my fingers back to life. I told him my story, he couldn't believe I made it there through all of that.

Finally, the train comes, I relax on y way to grand central. But how can you really relax if your completely soaked from the inside of my coat to the hood and hat on my head....He recommended i take it off for it to dry a bit, which i listened....but i wish i hadn't when i got to grand central and had to put eeveryyyythinggg back on it was freezing and i was PISSED!!! not with him but with the weather!

We split up and went out separate ways. I made it to the train and was jam packed on the 4 like a sardine, but i had jut missed the 6 train and opted to catch it by taking the 4 which gos xpress to 14th st. I made it just in time caught the 6 and got off a t Bleecker st. I was relieved that the rain had finally stopped but i was freezing still. I walked up stairs into the office, as soon as i got there i hadn't even taken off my coat all the way and had to sign for deliveries. Everyone was so busy at work. Then I got my sweater and scarf off hung it up so it could dry, and then i sat for like 2 minutes saw my friend JammY, told her how i was soaked and we explained how our day was going so far. I was not the only one suffering! Then i had did my duties, but was warm and cozy so i didn't really complain. The day went quickly with so much to do. The it was 4:20 and JammY told me she was leaving at 5PM, I said "okay, I gotta leave at 530 to catch the 6 oclock train! she said oh ill take it with you then so we discussed that and got back to work. 5 Pm rolled around and JammY told the lady she was about to leave and she wanted one of the volunteer interns to drop off some invitations. We said okay, there was also a 3rd intern there that left at 5 so she left. JammY was to take the invites, but then told me to do it so i could just leave with her and we could deliver them together, she asked the lady if we could sap and I take them but she said "no you take them". When i walked back over she questioned me if i was staying because I obviously had gotten there in the afternoon and the other interns in the morning so it logically made sense. I said yeah until 6PM, so i could at least catch the 630 train. 6 rolls around and jammY said she would still me meet since she would be in the city dropping the invits off until around 6. I got out after six and the rain started again even heavier then before, i was still soaked because my coat never dried, but I made it to the train (metro north) at 610, JammY still had to drop one last invite nearby so i double checked the train sched. There was no 630 train just a 615 and 645, 710, the 630 train was skipping our stop! I was in a binge, Jammy called me and i told her the times she said we will have to catch the 710 train, so thats wat we caught......but i was so hungry and only had a few singles on me that i said to myself what can i buy....a chicken patty i thought its on 290. and i have $4. (they don't take debit/credit). I buy my my patty, right in front of the train im suppose to be getting on after i pay i look up and see that it says peak, i was pissed, i had already spent my cash and was like wat should i do, so i said ill just buy a new ticket and save the other one, i hope on the line, when i finally get to the stand i look at the touch screen realize that the one way is not available to touch, so i ask the older man behind me if he knows what that means

Me: excuse me do you know if this means i can't buy a 1way ?

Man: I dont know and I dont care im buying a monthly pass so it really doesn't matter to me! are you done and slides to the machine and start to use the touch screen.

Me: wow, i shake my head and head to the next machine which had a longer line it was almost time for the train to pull off, it waas 703. i was so pissed!!!

JammY shows up and is asking me wats up i tell her the situation, she like are you kidding me. Then time is ticking away and JammY's like I have cash lets go. We get on th train pull off and the man comes around and charges us the extra money, where both like it was 1.50? I got charged way more then that before!!! But we ride home smoothly and I still had to rush back because I had the other decorations for the party. I made it though, showered and changed for the party and had a okay time. The only good news is that I haven't gotten sick from being soaked in the rain!!!!

Spring 2008

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH can you believe its 2008 already people are going insane???

I mean the trends have always been vintage and foreshadowing the past, but it just seems so new and so wonderful. Yes the High Waisted Shorts. I am really loving these right now, they are made all kinds of ways, short or mid-length.

I have fell in love with these things. I have always known that I have a weird waist or so I think so. It makes it so hard for me to fit into most jeans. Its either low waist or high waist for me. I cant really do high waist because it just bothers me lol but these short are amazing and I think they would look lovely on me. Oh how I can't wait for it to get warm enough so I can wear these lovely things.

The one below is a little to short for me but lovely the way its worn

The Jean High Waisted shorts above are something i would wear!!!! lovely

For spring 2008 a lot of colors are more on the pastel shades. Pale greens, yellows, pinks, blues, etc. 2007 was the year for all the bright and neon colors, thing's are toning down a bit this spring. I can't wait.

Make Me a Supermodel

Sorry I have not rewritten anything computer problems...... Ahh feels good to be back though, this is addicting!!

Make me a Supermodel, is a new show hosted on BravoTV. At first glance I honestly believed that it was going to be a knock off of ANTM. But to my surprise it is not! Totally different, this show allows its view, (NationWide) to vote for who they want to stay and see become a SUPERMODEL. Strange I would say, because most have no idea what it takes to be a model.

However I think, the show is doing pretty well, with host Tyson Beckford and Niki Taylor to very successful Supermodels.

Synopsis of the two:

Tyson Beckford is one of the most respected male supermodels in the industry. His career was set forth by having his first campaign in 1994 with Polo Sport. Later on he landed a contract with Ralph Lauren, and has since been a prosperous supermodel and actor. (Kudos) **

Niki Taylor is an international model, and mother. She recently began her own clothing line and opened her own boutique called Abbie & Jesse's. She made her mark with as being one of the youngest teen models to grace the cover of Vogue Magazine! (Kudos)**

Some of my favorite models on the show are:
JACKI

Jacki's signature walk is crazy. It comes so natural to her. I would like to see where she can go on the show. I am voting for her (lol)!!! Her only down fall is that she does not embrace her flaws, I believe flaws are what makes us different from one another. Oh her flaw by the way is that her ears stick out a lil, and she dislikes that. But I love her overall she deserves Kudos lol.

I also belive that JACKI favors Thandie Newton.
Check out the Pic above for comparison.

JAY

Not only is a great looking guy but i think he is what the industry needs. He is a humble guy, and takes direction well. He needs to improve on his presence or so I think so. But overall I think he has potential to be a Model and a Commercial Model. As of right now I don't know about him being a SUPERMODEL though. Wonderful body too.

PERRY

Perry another great looking guy, I think he has a great walk, (even with a broken foot). I think he does his thing naturally, and he seems cool to be around. Also has a wonderful body too.

If you want more info I'd advise you to check out http://www.bravotv.com/ or just tune into the show every Thursday night at 9PM. Enjoy
